Color and texture are important to me and this comes through in my artwork. I want to express joy and share that with the viewer. Forms drawn from the natural world frequently appear in my work\, a jagged line that imitates the edge of a leaf for example. I love the beautiful trees\, streams\, and mountains visible in Darrington. Living here is heaven for me.” \nArtist Ron Wolff:  “My abstract works are never done. These colorful excursions on paper never reach completion. This presentation of my art\, at the Hoobajoob\, marks a present state of being and not a land fall. DESCRIPTION:Come and be in the parade or just enjoy watching it go by!  To line up for the parade\, bring your decorated car to the Glad Tidings Church at 45631 SR 530\, Darrington\, WA 98241\, at 5:30.  The parade will leave at 6:00 pm\, led by our District #24 Fire Department\, weaving through the streets of Darrington handing out candy canes.  Santa and Mrs. Clause will be in attendance!  The parade winds down to the North County Family Services\, 1015 Seeman Street\, Darrington WA 98241\, and Town of Darrington for the Christmas Tree Lighting.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your car\, your candy and your costumed kiddos for a frightfully fun evening!  It’s all in fun and not too scary.  Make your Halloween a memorable family fun evening of Trunk or Treating.  Come see what is lurking and cooking in the haunted community center.  The baked potato bar and photo booth will be open 5:00 to 6:30 pm. \nThe Trunk or Treat is fun for kids of all ages so dress up and decorate that car trunk or pickup truck!  Please have cars and trucks parked \, decorated\, trunks open and ready for the Trunk or Treaters by 5:00 pm.  To reserve your parking spot please contact JoAnn at 360-399-8037.  There is no fee to participants parking and contributing to the Trunk or Treat.  At 6:00 pm the award will be presented for the best decorated trunk or truck.

DESCRIPTION:Fundraiser for our beloved Darrington Community Center\, built by the community to serve the community! \nCome to the Farmers Market and help support a great cause\, the Darrington Community Center.  Time to stock up the kitchen with local handcrafted foods!  There will be baked breads\, cookies\, cakes\, pies\, jar foods and more!  Several will be donating local produce from their gardens for this great cause so eat fresh and fill your pantry with summer’s bounty.  Remember it’s not to early to shop for Christmas and what better present than something made locally!  Be sure and see the hand knitted and crocheted items such as hats\, baby clothes and other works of heart. \nBe sure to buy a raffle ticket!  Raffle tickets for some great items will be made available at the farmers market.  The raffle will be held on the last day of the market\, Sunday\, September 6th at noon.

Wander down to the Cascade Senior Center to see the quilt show! \nEveryone loves to take a couple of tries at the old fashion dunk tank!  In this case if you can aim your ball just right you just might be dunking our Darrington Mayor!  All proceeds to this fundraiser goes toward the next annual Darrington Street Fair\, Darrington Trunk or Treat and keeping up the dunk tank.  All in fun!
