Springtime Brings A Pagent Of Colors To The Darrington Area

posted May 23, 2011, 9:50 AM by Martha Rasmussen

Red Flowering Current, ( Ribes sanguineum) is in full bloom with pale pink to vibrant red flowers.

The bright white flowers of the Pacific Dogwood,
( Cornus nuttalli ) are peeking  out along the
Forest Service roads.  Soon they will change
to a creamy white.

The petals of the Service-berry ( Amelanchier alnifolia ) drift in the breeze like snowflakes.  There is nothing more beautiful than the mountains blooming in the springtime!

Come help us celebrate our beautiful wildflowers
