Whitehorse School

1923 to 1945-46
The Whitehorse School opened the same day the Irving School closed in 1923. Finas Skeers once told me the story of how he went to the Irving School in the morning, they collected their things and walked down the tracks to the new Whitehorse School and his old school was closed. The Irving school was getting pretty crowded with over 40 students in a two room school house. The old Irving School bell made the move as well and became the new Whitehorse School bell. Finas remembered the day it was moved to its new location.  After the school was closed it was used as a Community Center and Meeting Hall for the local Women's Club.
