Rinker Point fire lookout was located about 10 miles north of Darrington on Rinker Point, elevation 3,090 feet.  It was built in 1935 and was a 30 foot pole tower and L-4 cab.  The fire lookouts originally built for spotting forest fires were during times of war used year round for spotting enemy aircraft.  This fire lookout was destroyed in 1965.
